Application Tips

Application Instructions:

Remove any old caulk, glazing, putty or peeling paint*. Clean rusted surfaces by wire brushing and prime with rust preventative primer. No primer is needed on clean, bare wood. GC-17 should only be applied in dry weather at temperatures above 40˚F (4˚C). Do not use this product when rain is expected within 24 hours.
Load cartridge into caulking gun. Puncture inner seal by inserting long nail or wire into nozzle. Using consistent pressure, apply continuous bead to area.

WARNING!  If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust or fumes. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST OR FUMES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE.
