Recommended For:

installing plywood subfloors, all-weather wood foundations, framed wall units, decks, docks, railings and fencing. Adheres to sheathing, siding, stair runners and risers and all brands of foil-faced insulation board (such as Thermax®). Bonds common building materials such as wood, treated lumber (CCA, ACZA), plywood, waferboard, particleboard, metal and marble to concrete, masonry, wood and metal.

NOT Recommended For:

use with polystyrene foam or creosote-treated lumber.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and structurally sound.

Tongue And Groove Or Conventional Plywood Subflooring Application

Apply a 1/4" (.64cm) continuous bead on each supporting joist. Where sheets meet along joist, apply two 1/4" (.64cm) beads. Lay sheets with plywood face grain at right angles to joists, taking care to avoid smearing beads on supporting joists. Do not drive panel joist tight. Space all joints the thickness of putty knife, approx. 1/6" (.16cm), to allow for expansion of panels. Nail section into place with 8D annular or spiral nails, 12" (30cm) on center on all joists. Remove any adhesive smears with putty knife and/or mineral spirits.

Note

Subfloor must be under roof within six weeks.

Cleanup

Use mineral spirits. Before using solvent on paneling, test surface for safe use.
