Recommended For:

caulking and sealing around bathtubs, showers, sinks, vanities, plumbing fixtures, vents and ducts, utility boxes, baseboards, countertops, ceiling and wall joints, windows, doors, plaster and siding seams. Also recommended for bonding ceramic tiles, moldings, vinyl cove base, corkboard, metal and wood trim, plaster, drywall, backsplashes, wood, brick, aluminum, many plastics, glass, fiberglass, concrete and masonry.

NOT Recommended For:

applications below the waterline, aquariums, over silicone sealants and wet or green wood (excessive joint movement might be experienced as wet or green wood dries).

Surface Preparation

Clean and dry surface thoroughly before applying this product. Remove any old caulk or paint. Fill any deep joints with solid filler to within 1/2" of surface. AC-138 should be applied in dry weather at temperatures above 40°F. Do not caulk with this product when rain is expected within 24 hours.

Cartridge Application

Load AC-138 cartridge into standard caulking gun. Cut nozzle at 45° angle for desired bead size (marked on nozzle). Apply continuous bead of AC-138 into gap, using uniform pressure to fill completely. Smooth over with wet finger or tool. Caulk skins over within 10 minutes and should be level with surface. If used as an adhesive, complete assembly within 10 minutes.

Painting Guidelines

Paintable with oil or latex paint. For best results, wait 24 hours, longer under humid conditions.

Squeeze Tube Application

Knead tube to soften contents. Cut tip at 45° angle where marked for desired bead size. Apply continuous bead of AC-138 into gap, using uniform pressure to fill completely. Smooth over with wet finger or tool. Caulk skins over within 10 minutes and should be level with surface. If used as an adhesive, complete assembly within 10 minutes.

Drying Time

Working time 10 minutes. Sets in 24 hours. Completely dry in 5 days.

Cleanup

Use water to clean up AC-138 while wet. For dry caulk, scrape away.
