How to Remove Construction Adhesive From Skin

Question:

I got some construction adhesive on my skin and it won’t come off. What do I do?

Answer:

You can remove construction adhesive from your skin in a few simple steps.

To remove from skin:

Step 1.

Determine what type of adhesive you are using by referencing the cleanup method on the container, or referring the Technical Data Sheet.

Step 2.

Remove any contaminated clothing and wash it before wearing again.

Step 3.

For solvent based adhesives, gently rub petroleum jelly, or vegetable or mineral oil onto the affected skin. Note that you may need to reapply in order to get the adhesive off.

Step 4.

For latex-based adhesives, use soap and water and wash your skin thoroughly. For LIQUID NAILS® FUZE*IT® All Surface Construction Adhesive (LN-2000), simply wipe the adhesive away using a dry rag. For more questions, please contact our technical service team at 800-634-0015.
